Privacy

What the website stores, and what the app sends over the network. The short version: nothing about you.

This website

  • No forms, no cookies, no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no heat map and no third-party script on any page.
  • No IP address is written down. The server sees your IP, as every web server must, and does not keep it.
  • The fonts come from Google Fonts, so Google’s servers see your IP address when a page loads, as they do on any site that uses them.
  • Downloading the app is an ordinary file download from Cloudflare, who host this site.

The launch list

Until October 2026 there was a form here for being told, once, when Wallgami was released. It is gone, and nobody had signed up when it closed, so there is no list and no email address is held anywhere.

The app

Wallgami sends nothing about you, and has no account, no analytics and no crash reporting service. What it does fetch, and only when that is the point:

  • Updates to itself (Mac). Only if you allow it, when it first asks: it reads a small file from updates.wallgami.app — the same request for everybody on the same version — to see whether there is a newer one. Nothing else about your Mac is sent.
  • Updates to itself (Windows). Only if you allow it, when it first asks: once a day it reads the same kind of small file from updates.wallgami.app, and if there is a newer version it downloads it, ready for you to install when you choose. Nothing about your PC is sent. You can change this in Settings → General.
  • Updates to its video downloader. Once a day it checks GitHub for a newer yt-dlp, the tool that imports videos from links, and downloads it if there is one. You can turn this off in Settings.
  • The AI upscaler (Windows). Only if you ask for it, in the installer or later: it is downloaded once from GitHub.
  • A link you import is fetched from the site it points to. On a Mac, if you turn on “Use my sign-in” for imports, it is fetched as you, with your browser’s sign-in for that site. The YouTube browser inside the app is YouTube, and nothing else: on Windows, Edge’s SmartScreen and background services are switched off in it.
  • Web wallpapers have no network at all. You can switch it on for one wallpaper at a time.
  • Diagnostics (Settings → “Save diagnostics…”) are a zip saved on your own computer, with keys and passwords taken out. It keeps file names and the links you imported, so look before you send it. It goes nowhere unless you send it.

Who is responsible

Wallgami is made by Keoma Grant, in Guyana. There is no company. If you want to raise something about how your data is handled, support@wallgami.app reaches the one person who can do anything about it.
